Chalet-inspired Apartment
Project type
Private Apartment
Date
2022
Location
St. Moritz, Swizerland
Role
As the only interior architect on the team, I was responsible for:
FF&E layout planning and technical specifications
Material and finish selection, primarily through Italian suppliers
Adapting the lighting layout to client preferences
Supporting design development from initial space planning (provided by the client) through procurement
Coordination with kitchen consultants, MEP consultants, and the lighting design team.
This private apartment, designed for a young, sophisticated family of four, brings a chalet-inspired sensibility into an urban Swiss setting. Delivered as a raw, unfinished shell, the apartment required complete interior development, with a focus on finishes, FF&E, and lighting coordination. The result blends modern luxury with natural materials: wood paneling, natural stone, rich fabrics, and ambient lighting create a warm, serene atmosphere. A basin sculpted from raw local stone adds character in the powder room, while a fire pit on the spacious balcony invites relaxed outdoor living.
